How Worthy Of The Pure Truth Are You?

An Audio Message From the Publisher:

This is Hank Scott, for The Pure Truth Restored...

Compared to how first century converts to the pure truth behaved, how do you measure up?

Back then they received, at best only once or twice in a decade, letters from the Apostles who taught them, and what did they do?

Did they soon forget what they were taught?

Perhaps some did, human nature being what it is.

However there were those who cherished every written word, preserved it for safekeeping, copied and shared it with others, and helped pass along the valuable lessons they had learned, and experience they gained, from everything they discovered of the pure truth.

Which do you suppose retained, and even grew in, their knowledge, wisdom and secured the blessings of salvation for themselves in the first resurrection?

Certainly not those who so easily cast aside the valuable, vital, life-saving instruction in righteousness!

Even gold or silver may seem worthless to some people, who cast it aside looking for "value" in things of far lesser worth, shorter lasting and temporary, here today and gone tomorrow pleasures, things or entertainments.

When they're over, however, what are you left with?

Nothing much, if anything at all, of any real lasting value.

You see, the difference isn't in the instructor or teacher in how differently their students turn out, but rather it is the dedicated, proactive students who shine while the easily distracted, bored or lackadaisical students are hardly worthy of the name, and rarely or never get any benefit from their schooling.

Lessons lightly learned are soon cast aside and forgotten.

Of what value are such lessons later, when needed, if your time was wasted in social, political or physical, and entertainment pursuits that have nothing whatever to do with gaining and retaining the knowledge, wisdom, experience and emotional/spiritual connection?

A young child might need a nanny or nursemaid to look after, guide and instruct them, but as you grow older you learn to do things for yourself and no longer need such help.

Are you curious like a small child, willing and able to learn, readily taught and eager to discover glorious and wondrous things you never knew before?

A convert to the pure truth must do likewise; learn, grow, mature and treasure the training they do receive -- even if sparse and little, compared to the glut of garbage spewed out by the countless false teachers -- learning best by teaching yet others, thereby passing the lit lamp from one to another, and on to future generations if at all possible.

Like the Apostles of old, you cannot possibly know the future impact your actions today may engender, so you should strive to give your very best energy to your spiritual studies, lessons learned, experience gained, and efforts to teach others.

In so doing you can become part of something far greater than any one individual, group, religion, race, or combination of these could ever hope to achieve in your limited lifespan.

The pure truth is multi-millennial, super-generational, supranational, eternal and beyond, in outlook, impact and reach.

Shouldn't your humble efforts, at the very least, attempt to reflect this noble fact?

Unless you learn how to, and do go above and beyond the call of duty, or what is expected of you, as any profitable servant must, how can you ever hope to be truly worthy of the pure truth?
