Can you imagine what it would be like if you were to find yourself standing in the presence of the greatest Being who has ever lived?
A timeless and benevolent Father-figure who is kind, caring, concerned about you, and willing to forgive all your faults, once you release and forsake them?
Won’t you be inclined, once you become conscious of the calm and peaceful serenity you feel in the warm glow of His radiant and forgiving Being, once you let go of all the troubles, worries and concerns that you presently feel are so pressing and urgent -- as you feel the comforting embrace of His attention -- to now realize they are nothing more than dream-like wisps?
So that, when you stir awake and come into full awareness of your surroundings, you understand these were just temporary and fading, ephemeral thoughts that no longer need concern you.
The All-Revealing Presence
As you set your heart on the wise and ageless gaze of He who sees right through you, into the very marrow of your bones and the sinews that cover them, your thoughts reflect on the needless and troubling darkness that used to frighten and worry you.
How everywhere you looked you could not make out any forms, shapes, or the actual needs of others near you or far away. You could only hear strange, troubling noises, imagine vain or harmful pursuits, while every step you dared to take was fraught with the fear that it might lead to a fall, injury, hurt, or disabling harm at some unspecified time or place.
Yet, as you turn slowly toward the light of His Being and calming presence, the shadows begin to fade away, and all is revealed, as if the clouds have all parted revealing the dawn of a bright and sunny new day.
Then you realize that all your worries, fears and concerns about the darkness came from the casting of your own shadow, while your back was turned to His presence with your thoughts directed away from Him, and onto all the dark vistas that have so troubled and frightened you.
That every step you took in that direction only lead you further away from the light and warmth of His presence, and into ever more frightful and worrisome fears and dangers.
Trustworthy Resolve
Now that you yearn for the light to reveal all that was once hidden, you start to understand that His ways alone lighten your burden, lift your concerns like a veil, and part your fears like a curtain being torn asunder, so that the light streaming in reveals all the dusty cobwebs you can now cast aside and wash away.
As you set your heart, mind, spirit and awareness on the radiance of His Being, wouldn’t it be nice if your mind and heart were calmed and all your cares and concerns no longer mattered?
So that you finally understand how, for those who refuse the compassion of His presence and therefore keep their backs turned away from the glorious light of His pure truth -- delighting in the grief, hurt, confusion and trouble they create for themselves and others -- He must finally turn His back on them, denying them the comfort of His presence and the continued experience of the breath of life He granted them.
Realizing that each moment of conscious existence is given to you with the hope and wish for you to make it into a glorious and fruitful blessing for yourself, and all others whom you may influence in person or through your efforts, imparting to you a quickening resolve to make each and every remaining thought and action count as worthwhile and worthy of His trust.
Freedom From Regret
How helpful would it be if, as you contemplate the beauty and glory of His mercy along with the sternness and humbling anger of His rebuke, that as you take your next breath, it is so slow and calm, deep and refreshing, that you want to hold it in for just a bit longer, feeling the invigorating oxygen coursing through your bloodstream to every cell of your body, refreshing and energizing them with perfect peacefulness and calm assurance that all is now well with your world?
Then, as you slowly exhale, a long and deeply refreshing purging of your every anxiety, trouble or fear, it is as if all the former troubled thoughts, concerns and cares of your life were flowing out with that exhalation, purging and cleansing you of every last trace of pain, remorse, guilt, strife and fear.
Leaving in their place a warm and reassuring knowledge that everything worthwhile, helpful, convenient, effective, constructive, and productive is now yours without limit.
A New Way Of Life
How fantastic and pleasing would it be to enjoy the motivating, inspiring, heart-warming presence of the company and Greatness of His magnificent Being?
All you need is to recognize your own limitations, see and become conscious of His presence at all times, search out and discover all that is important to Him, and once you pinpoint and uncover the pure truth of this, His reality -- to humbly accept His teaching and instruction, to drink in of His wisdom and righteousness like a hungry child eagerly consumes a juicy and tasty, succulent piece of refreshing fruit -- all will be revealed.
The life sustaining produce of that tree that imparts life and health, healing and longevity to every cell and fiber of your being can then be yours in His presence.
The Blessings Of His Presence
Wouldn’t it be nice to discover all this, and find that much, much more, awaits you, once you turn yourself around to face the Light of His presence, forgetting and neglecting the darkness that will all finally be behind you, as you walk forward in the new path and way of life you can now see clearly before you?
Finally you will be able to assist all those who have not yet turned, who still suffer from the enshrouding embrace of their own shadows, fears, doubts and disbeliefs, to help open the eyes of those willing at long last to witness, understand and accept everything they have been missing in life until now.
To accept and rejoice, along with you, in the blessed reality and healing embrace of His presence for a never-ending eternity!
