This is Hank Scott, for The Pure Truth Restored...
It has been a little more than a decade since I began publishing the online version of The Pure Truth Restored magazine.
With this, our fortieth issue, it now seems like the right time to take a breather for a spell.
After publishing numerous magazines and other materials of scriptural research over the years, since 1979, I first started publishing The Pure Truth magazine as a print publication in 1993, for a total of twenty-eight regular issues, along with two special issues and four introductory issues (a total of 34 issues altogether) by 1998.
The next year, in 1999, I started the APT Updates email newsletter, which has now seen more than 372 issues to date, with its sixteenth year of continued publication.
Also, in 1993, I started researching, writing and publishing The Ephesian Messenger newsletter, which concluded its twelve-issue run in 2004.
Three years later, in 1996, I also started publishing The Prophetic Notebook newsletter, which saw a total of thirteen issues when it was ended in 2001.
That same year (2001) I also published a local newspaper, The Hamilton Crier, for a total of six issues, until we could no longer afford to continue this effort.
Finally, in 2002 The Plumb-Line of Truth newsletter began publication, for a total of ten issues through 2003.
In addition to all this, beginning in 1987, I have published around half a dozen books, and have dozens of others in various stages of completion, especially in the past six years, and have researched, written and published many more dozens of articles, booklets and exposé articles over the years.
All this has been a one-man effort and has left me little time for other things, other than raising a large family of eight children with my wife of the past 37 years, including helping deliver all of them and our first grandchild.
Little wonder, given the expense and time involved, that we have always lived on the edge of financial turmoil, and have often faced lean times together, surviving it by our Creator’s merciful providence in the face of some very determined adversaries that would like nothing better than to destroy this fledgling work.
To date this has included a one year forced hiatus in 2006, thanks to a false felony “conviction,” sans evidence, while denied legal assistance, thanks to entrapment by local government criminals in high places...
The loss of our only means of travel in 2010, stolen without legal justification or recourse...
The death of my mother-in-law and loss of our two youngest children by state-sanctioned kidnappers...
And now the threat of losing our only home and congregational properties, two homes that are in bad repair, to unauthorized property taxes we could never have afforded.
As a corrupt state court system looks the other way, on appeal, to serious violations of sovereign rights and legal protections apparently not available to the poor other than by mere lip service, we have suffered lost time and the expenses involved in trying to somehow defend ourselves with legal research and court filings largely ignored and trampled underfoot by petty tyrant judges.
The time has come, simply put, to try and halt this continued effort to cast us into the streets, with no where to go and no way to turn for help, by attempting to earn several tens of thousands of fraudulent “Federal Reserve” notes, to pay the extortionate demands of our captors and thereby halt and prevent this ongoing debacle of injustice.
Despite the best efforts of our adversaries, our Creator has seen us through the worst of it to date, and I believe He will continue to provide us a way of escape out of all these difficulties, but realize that I must also do my part first.
So with that in mind, I have already taken steps to secure us a few possible means by which we can get out of the way of this destructive train wreck unscathed.
This will mean concentrated efforts in that direction, since no man can serve two masters well (cf. “Matthew” 6:24; Luke 16:13) so, absent a huge and immediate increase in tithe-paying or contributing supporters, it seems inevitable that -- although I would like to find something that leaves me enough time and energy to continue with this publishing ministry -- that simply is not possible, for the next year at least.
Any effort to bring in a sufficient amount to cover our ongoing needs and prevent our homes from being stolen and sold out from under us, by this communistic system of taxation, will leave me no time for other pursuits.
It simply must be a wholehearted, dedicated effort.
Hopefully, it will also be only a temporary situation, that will enable me to return to my duty as a messenger to this age, when the time is right and fully ripe for this work to continue apace.
It has been an honor and a joy to have been an instrument for our Creator’s inspiration, in bringing His warning message to this end age for these past three-and-a-half decades.
Perhaps I will soon be able to finish out a full forty years over the few years remaining for that accomplishment, since this work began, should Creator Yahveh so bless my efforts over the next few months and the remainder of this year.
Please add your prayers to ours, for Him to effectively halt the adversary’s attempts, by forbidding any further attempts and attacks against this unique and vital work of restoration to this present sick and dying age!
