There have been times and places, when righteous judgments have come to pass, that have been missed and ignored by a largely ignorant news media.
They fail to see or acknowledge these judgments simply because they are not trained to look for them.
This would also require a certain element of faith in seeking answers where normal, everyday experience fails to prepare, or allow them the ability to recognize important realities beyond the carnal ken.
An example of which was the Challenger and Columbia space shuttle disasters, resulting in the loss of all members of crews aboard each of those doomed flights.
Anti-Prophecy Bias
The news media would never report the fact that there was prophetic foreknowledge of these events, or what it implies about the country of origin and its political/military system.
Yet on January 18, 1986 this author had just such a premonition, during the troubled flight of the Columbia space shuttle.
Launched just six days before, on January 12, 1986, for its seventh flight, there had already been six delays and four unsuccessful launch attempts for the Columbia since the original intended launch date of December 18, 1985.
Each of these were either mechanical or weather-related delays. But these were not the only troubles experienced by this space shuttle flight.
Once it was finally launched successfully, in orbit the Columbia experienced additional problems with several weather delays in an attempt to return the shuttle after only four days of its originally intended seven-day mission.
This was to prepare for the next launch window to get Challenger into orbit in an attempt to study Halley’s comet closer, to learn more about the mysterious periodic visitor to our solar system every 75 years.
These delays, on the 16th and 17th of January 1986, pushed the return of Columbia forward to the 18th, extending its flight to a total of six days, and even then its intended landing site of Kennedy Space Center, also known as Cape Canaveral, in Florida had to be scrubbed in favor of a landing at Edwards Air Force base, in southern California near Lancaster.
This required the shuttle to be shipped across country for future planned shuttle flights.
Had anyone known in advance about future disastrous events in relation to the space shuttle flights, the media would nevertheless refuse to report the fact, due to its anti-prophecy bias, a secular and even religious prejudice ingrained in this present age of skepticism, doubt and disbelief.
Prescient Prophecy
Watching these delays and problems on January 18, 1986 during televised coverage, even before the space shuttle Columbia touched down, this author felt the need to voice a warning, in the presence of his wife and young children, which was as follows:
“These troubles and delays are a warning! They’d better not attempt to launch another shuttle because, if they do, it’ll be a total disaster!”
It was ten days later, on January 28, 1986, when the Challenger space shuttle was destroyed, killing the entire seven member flight crew, during the very next attempted shuttle launch!
This is just the sort of prescient prophetic reality the current media despises and would rather pretend doesn't exist.
In reality, there is far more to this world than the present batch of secularists, evolutionists, rationalists, and even religionists would ever dare care to admit, much less contemplate!
Just Judgments And Faux Justice
The space program was grounded for more than two years following this disaster, until late 1988. Another rocket launch attempt around January 22nd of that year was also a failure.
Exactly fifteen years before that date Lyndon Johnson, the 36th president of the United States -- for whom the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas and the Johnson NASA Research and Testing Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico were named -- died on January 22, 1973.
It was also on this same day that the U.S. Supreme Court “legalized” abortion, with its decision in Roe v. Wade.
On this same date, six years after these incidents -- which also happened to be the author’s mother-in-law’s 61st birth anniversary -- my wife and I, and our best friend, were involved in the tense sit-in confrontation between the Worldwide Church of God in Pasadena, California and the California Attorney General’s attempt to audit their books through a court appointed receiver.
On that same day, on January 22, 1979, we three left the campus of Ambassador College in Pasadena, and promptly disfellowshipped ourselves from that religious disorganization.
On the 28th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and Johnson’s death, January 22, 2001 this author was in court for jury selection in a faux “felony” trial against myself.
That same day, on my mother-in-law’s 84th birth anniversary, her husband, the author’s father-in-law, passed away just prior to that hearing, at the age of 85, two weeks shy of his next birth anniversary.
I only mention this last incident by way of noting how such events are sometimes more than mere coincidental circumstance.
In looking back over the history of NASA, this was also an historic date, in that the first lunar module was lifted into space aboard Apollo 5 on January 22, 1968.
It was also on this date, January 22, 1973 -- the same day Johnson died and the Roe v. Wade case was decided -- that the crew of Apollo 17 addressed a joint session of Congress, after completing what would be the final moon landing mission.
Thus some dates are as much hallmarks of just judgments to come as they are prior examples of faux "justice," such as the genocidal abortion decision and all the evil it has wrought in this age!
Non-Coincidental Prophetic Events
Seventeen years after the Challenger shuttle disaster, the space shuttle Columbia was once again launched for its 28th mission (which was also the 113th shuttle flight), on January 16, 2003.
What is interesting about this date, to this author, is that two days before announcing the Challenger disaster ten days in advance, the author also had a profound revelation on January 16, 1986.
Ten months to the day prior to this, on March 16, 1985, the author’s father passed away, and seven months later, on October 16, 1985, the author undertook his first attempt at fulfilling a seven-year nazarite vow.
On that same day this author and his wife prayed for their first son -- before discovering the pregnancy already three months along -- and dedicated their future son to be a nazarite from birth.
Exactly six weeks later, on November 27, 1985 -- the day before Thanksgiving -- the author and his wife once again visited the campus of Ambassador College in Pasadena, for the first time since leaving it and the Worldwide Church, in the hopes of seeing and visiting with its then 93 year-old patriarch Herbert W. Armstrong.
HWA’s failing health prevented that, but the author was able to visit with old acquaintances from his A.C. school and Worldwide Church member days, such as Monte Wolverton, who was then art editor for Worldwide’s international monthly “news” style publication, The Plain Truth magazine.
Exactly seven weeks later, on the night of January 15, 1986, the author spent the entire night in troubled prayer, asking for a sign to confirm his calling to the ministry.
During that night, on January 16, 1986, thirteen weeks to the day after first taking the nazarite vow, in fulfillment of a dream vision received on October 1, 1980 -- which was the ninth anniversary of the author’s baptism into the Worldwide Church (October 1, 1971), and the third anniversary of the author’s first encounter with his wife-to-be in 1977 -- Herbert Armstrong died.
This was exactly three months to the day, and also precisely 93 days from the date of the author’s nazarite vow (counting inclusive of both dates of October 16, 1985 and January 16, 1986), a day for every year of HWA’s age at the time of his death!
Another Prophecy
Shortly after announcing the shuttle Challenger disaster, the author wrote a letter to one of HWA’s former top “evangelist” rank ministers, Herman Hoeh, on the eighth anniversary of the first Worldwide sit-in demonstration when the author and his wife and friend left it and Ambassador College (January 22, 1986).
In a follow-up letter to Hoeh, dated February 25, 1986, the author commented that -- at the end-point of comet Halley’s recent visit through our solar system -- “I would be inclined to predict that something ‘astronomical’ should happen on either April 10th or 11th!”
As it so happened, our first son, and first vowed nazarite from birth since the Baptist, named NazariYahv, was born the evening of April 10th, just after midnight on April 11th!
April 10, 1986 was also the first day after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, according to the restored sacred calendar first observed in this age by this author since 1980, which was also the day of the Wavesheaf observance that year.
Preordained Disaster?
The mid-point of comet Halley’s 1986 appearance was about January 26th, or just two days before the disastrous launch attempt of the shuttle Challenger.
One of the purposes for that shuttle launch was a closer examination of Halley’s comet. A mission doomed to failure.
Seventeen years later, during the final flight of Columbia, several “bogies,” or “unidentified flying objects” (as described by shuttle crew), were spotted near the shuttle, and attempts to more closely record them on video by the crew were quickly halted by the breakup of the shuttle, before it entered earth’s atmosphere.
There is a video of these UFOs and also separate video of shuttle debris, apparently taken by the helmut camera of one of the doomed astronauts previously aboard the destroyed shuttle, just before they perished on re-entry.
This reveals extensive damage to the exterior of the shuttle craft, which had exploded into many parts, as though it had suffered a violent, deliberate attack from without.
As this author theorized, at the time of the Challenger disaster, it was as if the fatal launch was struck down by an angel’s flaming sword, and observers on the ground in California for instance, during Columbia’s doomed re-entry on February 1, 2003, described seeing something like flashes or bolts of light strike the shuttle just before it exploded.
Considering the mixed race and sex composition of the crews of both Challenger and Columbia during their last fatal flights -- like the ancient Tower of Babel incident, before the language of the builders attempting to reach heaven was confused and the races separated as a result -- this author also saw parallels with the scriptural prophecies against Mystery Babylon in “Jeremiah” 51 and Revelation 18.
In each of these there are haunting passages that reflect on the tragic end of both doomed shuttle attempts:
“‘Even if Babylon reaches the sky and fortifies her lofty stronghold [space station], I will send destroyers against her,’ declares Yahveh.
“The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, the sound of great destruction from the land of the Babylonians.
“Yahveh will destroy Babylon; He will silence her noisy din. Waves will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound....”
“When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates. Then say, ‘So will Babylon sink to rise no more because of the disaster I will bring upon her. And her people will fall” (“Jeremiah” 51:52-55, 63-64).
Both shuttle flights ended up under water, with the Challenger landing in the Atlantic off the Florida coast, and Columbia in the Spate Lake area of the Sabine national forest, between eastern Texas and western Louisiana, near Hemphill, Texas.
Prophetic Events Foreshadowing Future Calamity
Long after the fall of ancient Babylon, another prophecy of a coming destruction of a modern Mystery Babylon superpower nation, of which the United States appears to be the ultimate fulfillment, was given in words hauntingly similar to those of the prophet just quoted:
“Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said:
“‘With such violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down, never to be found again’” (Revelation 18:21).
That city, today, indicative of the nation which spawned it, as described in the rest of this chapter -- a great port city with which all the nations of the earth do commerce -- can be none other than New York City, home of the United Nations (a bestial world-ruling attempt run by an elite cabal of “kings” who have no kingdom; i.e. heads of major trans-national corporations, foundations, banks, etc.; cf. Revelation 17:12-13, 16).
Their future destruction of that city, and the nation behind it, was prophesied as a righteous judgment for all the sins committed by this city against the peoples of the earth (Revelation 17:17-18).
One of those major sins, even against its own peoples, has been the ongoing genocidal debacle and holocaust known as abortion, approved by the commandment-breaking nation of the United States for the past 42 years!
This and countless, endless foreign wars and intrigues, and false flag operations taking innocent lives domestically (Waco, Oklahoma City federal building, the World Trade Center destruction in New York City on September 11, 2001; as a haunting fore-type of this still future calamity, etc.), is all adding up to a time of resounding righteous judgment against the guilty harlot of the nation known as the United States today!
The Idol Of Liberty = "Freedom" To Sin
Columbia is just another more ancient name for this warrior whore, after whom Washington the District of Columbia (D.C.) was also named.
It is the name of the idolatrous statue perched high above the capitol building dome of the United States congress, and thus fulfills in its entirety the prophecies against modern Mystery Babylon.
This is not, as most religions have mis-taught, a false religion, but is rather a false system of government, because Mystery Babylon is not the same thing as the false prophet beast or the beast who leads the world to the brink of destruction.
The whore that rides the beast of Revelation 17:3, 7, 9 and 15 cannot, by process of elimination, be the same as the two beasts if Revelation, and therefore must be a separate entity.
The beast power, which represents all the people or nations of the earth (Revelation 17:15) also hates the prostitute and destroys her in the end, very probably with nuclear devastation (verse 16).
This political system is a threat to the beast power, simply because it implies the idea of freedom from restraint, which competes with the bestial impetus for total subjugation of all people on earth, under its murderous and controlling system of socialism.
This is precisely why the whore of Mystery Babylon is just that, with many daughter prostitutes, or cities of like immorality, around the world (verse 5).
The Great Whore
There can be no dispute that the only major port city of world renown, doing commerce with nations around the world by ships at sea (Revelation 18:3, 11-19), is also a site where all the world leaders meet in a bestial attempted world ruling quasi-governmental group, called the “United Nations” (verses 3, 9-10).
How many of the aborted babies were intended by our Creator to be prophets, who never lived to see the light of day, as a result of the influence of this one city on national and world politics?
How many have been permanently silenced; men called to speak out against the madness and insanities imposed by this modern multi-paganism embracing governmental construct that puts commerce, wealth and pagan religious observances above all else (in the form of entertainment as a type of modern idol-worshipping religious practice, from radio and television, to movies and the stage)?
Only our Creator truly knows.
Trust the fact that, when He does arouse Himself to bring upon the heads of those responsible for this modern madness and self-destructive insanity, the devastation to be brought upon this city, the nation that spawned it, and eventually on the beasts and the entire idolatrous world that turns its collective back on Him, that these judgments will be both righteous and just.
Why Is Just Judgment Necessary?
No court of man, led by rebellious human nature codified in the flaws (false laws) of men and women -- who have never embraced the Creator's perfect and righteous Commandments, Statutes, Judgments and Laws, but have instead sought to displace and replace them with lawless carnal human statutes, rules and regulations -- could ever result in even the remotest semblance of true justice.
This is precisely why the Creator of heaven and earth will return, in the form of a wrathful and vengeful Savior, to finally cure the disease of rebellious idolatry and adversarial opposition, by bringing true and lasting peace to the few of the world’s inhabitants deserving to survive through this soon-coming apocalypse!
If there were any other way during the time allotted for the world to find it, over the past nearly two thousand years, people would have found and embraced the pure truth, and there would be clear evidence of it flourishing on earth today.
Instead, there has been nothing but an ongoing bloodbath of religious and political persecution and endless wars of aggression and provocation, with one main religion largely benefiting the most from all this chaos (and that has not, by and large, been Catholicism).
That religion (Judaism) and secular governmental system (Zionism) it spawned, have raised up an equally murderous and vengeful opponent, in the form of Islam.
Together these two foes are threatening to destroy the world with the help of the ever-ambivalent Roman Catholic and Protestant religions and governments of the world, led chiefly by the United States but also including all the nations of the western world.
Prelude To World War III
Aligning on the side of Islam are mostly the eastern nations of Russia and its satellites, and its protective interest in Iran and its surrounding Islamic nations.
The equally ambivalent communist Chinese, siding first with Russia and then with the western powers, will likely finally follow the money, that has enriched this pagan nation, leading to an ever larger and growing ownership interest in American businesses and property.
While the massive middle class of poor working Americans fall into the chasm of poverty and destitution, while their country is dismantled and sold off to these foreign interests, governments and rich outsiders, the untold suffering, privation and exponentially increasing imprisonment of a largely innocent populace grows apace.
Can you not see and agree that this must all lead to utter tragedy and ruination for nearly everyone in the end?
The world is being forcibly led into a third world war, a war from which only bestial dictatorship will emerge "victorious," until the time the Creator of heaven and earth arouses Himself to rout and defeat this adversarial enemy of all life on earth, before it can complete that otherwise inevitable outcome.
The End Of All Political Ambitions
The only saving grace humanity now has to look forward to is not some idolatrous “superhero” creation of the fertile imaginations of Creator-rejecting antagonists.
Rather, it is righteous judgments alone that will preserve the world and all life upon it from utter and total destruction, by imposing the only Laws that alone can lead to these blessed results the world and its peoples have been desperately seeking in all the wrong ways!
Righteous judgments must once and for all time rid the world of every competing system of religion and government, and all their unrepentant supporters and adherents.
Politics and confusion as usual will no longer be allowed to rule unopposed.
Instead the blindingly bright and searing pure truth alone will prevail, and all nations will eventually walk in the light of its caring and compassionate guidance.
The Real "End Of The World"
Righteous judgments necessarily imply, and require, a major righteous Judge of judges, sole Ruler of rulers, and singular High Priest of priests (the very meaning of the word Messiah) to rule over the nations of the world, with an “iron rod” if need be, consisting of His ability to defeat any and every enemy before their rebellion even arises.
This will consist, for instance, of weather-related punishments such as drought, and finally the total annihilation of all peoples utterly refusing to conform to the way that alone results in peace, safety and blessings for all the world’s inhabitants (cf. Zechariah 14:17-19, 21b).
Despite the desperate cries of the lawless rebels of this evil end age, against this great and enduring truth, what this world needs now, more than ever before, are righteous judgments to finally set it on the path that leads not to prison, poverty or pestilence, but rather to life, true liberty and freedom from sin, and its devastating consequences!
The "end of the world" is, in reality, merely the ending of this present evil age, along with all its "one world" protagonists.
Then, and only then, can there be genuine rejoicing over the blessings resulting from the initially grievous necessity for righteous judgments!
