Prophecy In Perspective
It is indeed amazing that scriptural prophecy can so accurately predict the future.
Yet throughout the prophectic scriptures you can see example after incredible example of this.
What is perhaps even more incredible is the fact that even those who acknowledge the fact that many such prophecies deal with still future events are failing to see any specific references in those prophecies to the largest and most influencial nation in earth's history to date.
The United States of America is not only one of the most important, major and -- in truth -- pivotal prophetic factors in scriptural prophecy, it is also cited by name in an amazing prophecy written over 5,000 years before the United States first came into existence!
Due to the influence of a translation completed more than 150 years prior to the existence of the United States, which is still the most popular translation of scripture -- the King James bible -- the prophesied name of the United States has been hidden in plain sight.
Readers of the bible have been laboring under unclear, awkward translations from first original Ibreya (ancient true "Hebrew") into Masoretic Hebrew or Koine Greek, then into old King James English, and finally into more or less modern English (the "King James" version today being different in many ways from the original, which for instance also contained the Apocryphal books between Old and New Testaments still found in modern Catholic bibles).
America In Prophecy?
Once you know where to look, and are aware of the exact definitions of the original words used, there is no doubt that the United States was indeed mentioned by name in scriptural prophecy.
Not only that, but the major city in America today -- in fact in the entire modern world -- is the subject of numerous scriptural prophecies in both Old and New Testaments, once you know where to look.
That's right, New York City -- the "Big Apple" -- itself is mentioned and described in minute detail in some major scriptural prophecies dealing with our present age, and the near future!
In fact, New York City is a prophetic type for the entire nation of America.
It represents what will happen to the United States in the very near future.
Once you know where America is named in scripture, you will also discover that there is an entire prophetic book dedicated almost entirely to the United States!
Failing to understand the correct identification of modern nations in scriptural prophecy -- particularly the United States, Great Britain (also specifically named and prophesied in scripture), Germany, Russia, China and Japan (among others) -- has resulted in the utter failure of prophecy theorists to correctly understand all of the prophecies related to this age.
Only by accurately pinpointing these modern nations in relation to their prophetic counterparts in scripture can you unlock the true meaning and significance of end-time prophecies that are vital to your health, well-being, and survival through the difficult days and years immediately ahead.
A Word Of Caution
Before you start investigating this subject called prophecy in any depth, you should be forewarned about the purpose, nature and reason for prophecy.
To some it might seem like a form of national and personal pride to know that their country is mentioned in ancient scriptural prophecies.
But before you go there, let's first answer the questions: Why does prophecy exist? What is the purpose of prophecy? Why do we need prophecy, and how can it help us?
Only once you know the answers to these basic but vital questions can you fully realize and understand the sobering nature of the prophecies you will be examining in the scriptural record.
Why Prophecy?
The word prophecy has a two-fold meaning.
It means "prediction," as in foretelling the future, and it also means "inspired and accurate prediction."
When applied to the inspired individual who gives the prophecy, it means "an individual who is inspired to give accurate predictions."
Unlike psychics, true prophets never initiate their prophecies. Instead, they are given direct messages, visions, dreams, songs, and poems which are actually prophetic and accurately foretell the future.
In other words, a true prophet's prophecies always come true because the Creator of all things -- who inspires them, and knows the end and beginning of all things -- is revealing to them what He will cause to happen.
As Peter wrote: "And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with Him in the sacred mount. We also have a more certain word of prophecy; which you would best heed, like a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the day star arises in your hearts:
"Knowing chiefly this, that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation. Because the prophecy did not come in ancient times by the will of man; rather sacred men of Yahveh spoke as they were moved by the sacred Spirit" (II Peter 1:18-21).
What Peter meant here is that it requires as much inspiration to understand prophecy as it required for the prophecy to be inspired in the first place.
There is, however, one problem -- as Peter continued to explain -- that has made it difficult, if not impossible, for modern men and women to perfectly understand scriptural prophecy:
"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there shall be false teachers among you, who shall privately bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Sovereign who bought them, bringing upon themselves [in the end] swift destruction.
"And many will follow their death-dealing ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be slandered. And through greed and lust and false words they will make merchandise of you" (II Peter 2:1-3).
As the Apostle Yahvhanan ("John") wrote: "These sayings are faithful and true: and Sovereign Yahveh of the sacred prophets sent His messenger to show to His servants the things which must shortly be accomplished" (Revelation 22:6).
Or, as another ancient prophet put it: "Surely Sovereign Yahveh does nothing, unless He reveals His plan to His servants the prophets...." ("Amos" 3:7), and as recorded in the very next verse: "The lion has roared, who will not fear? Sovereign Yahveh has spoken, who can but prophesy?" (verse 8).
You need prophecy to show you the true shape of things yet to come, so that you can properly train yourself, your children (if any), your neighbors, and future generations, the things that really count for something, when all is said and done.
The World Without Prophecy
Without a correct future view, you will -- just as the entire world is now doing -- only succeed in following the siren and deadly voice of false prophets.
These include evolutionary scientists, who prefer to believe in warped, grotesque figments of their science-fiction befuddled, mostly fear-based imaginations, as the supposed future reality of events and nations on earth.
Religious fundamentalists and mainstream religionists also view prophetic scriptures through equally warped and unrealistic spectacles, corrupted by their adherence to pagan celebrations, calendars, beliefs and carnal but false paradigms such as a dishonest monetary system, government and patriotic idol worship, to name but a few of their many flaws and sinful ways.
News media and political commentators are also utterly lacking in prophetic understanding, wisdom, or true insight into how things really are, and where or why events are taking us into a violent and destructive future devoid of the blessings so many seek, in selfish and hedonistic ways, striving to fulfill their lusts for pleasure at all costs, absent responsibility for the consequences.
Without a fundamental change in human nature, which all these self-styled "prophets" or prophetic "interpreters" are entirely incapable of creating without sincere, humble and heartfelt repentance, they are only able to bring to pass your worst nightmares, and ever more destructive wars, using all the weapons modern science and false patriotic religion will provide.
They will finally succeed in exterminating all life from this planet, unless our concerned Creator intervenes to prevent this, and restrain us -- just short of achieving this ultimate aim of all such sinful conduct -- from destroying ourselves in one last frantic and fanatic frenzy.
Two Kinds Of Prophecy
There are only two basic reasons for prophecy to exist.
Either it foretells something especially good will happen (blessings), or something particularly bad will come to pass.
The prophecies of good things give you hope, courage and the strength to overcome life's many difficulties, encouraging you to prevail over evil.
The prophecies of calamities and bad things, on the other hand, are to: A) warn the humble to repent or change their imperfect ways, to become perfect, B) assure everyone of the wages of wickedness or lawlessness, and C) warn the wicked who are refusing to repent so they are without excuse when judgment and total destruction finally arrives for them.
You do not need prophecy to tell you all the minute details of everyday life, though prophecy is amazingly accurate in the details of the major events it does foretell.
You need prophecy to give you an accurate roadmap of your possible future courses of action, which serves as a warning to the wise so that they are prepared to escape the calamities and disasters that most foolish and unrighteous people will blindly embrace and suffer.
Finally, it is necessary for you to understand what Paul meant when he wrote: "When there are prophecies they can fail" (I Corinthians 13:8).
Paul was definitely not saying that true prophecies would somehow be overlooked and thereby fail to be fulfilled.
He was saying, instead, that when prophecies are fulfilled, they no longer serve a useful purpose and will then vanish, and will no longer need to be remembered!
Only in this sense can true prophecies ever "fail" or end. Otherwise, the perfect Creator who gives them in the first place would appear to not be so all-knowing or all-powerful after all.
When your Creator says something is bound or certain to happen, it's because He assuredly knows it must and will happen!
Not even the prophecy of Yavneh ("Jonah") to Nineveh actually failed, since it was -- as all prophecy is -- conditional on the repentance of the people to whom it was given.
As most historians well know, and must admit, this prophecy was fulfilled -- within exactly 40 years (a year for each day of the original prophecy), against a later less repentant generation of Ninevites -- in minute detail.
Ancient Babel And Babylon
Now that you know the purpose of prophecy, which is to prepare you for what really lies ahead, no matter how painful or unwelcome it may seem, you can now better appreciate the prophecies you are about to see unlocked before your very eyes!
These incredible prophecies may flabbergast and leave you speechless once you finally begin to understand, perhaps for the very first time, what they reveal for our modern world, in the days and short years immediately ahead.
In ancient times Babel, a city situated on the Euphrates River in what is now modern Iraq, was the central hub of civilization.
It was consequently the original "melting pot" of practically every ancient race and culture; the very first truly cosmopolitan center of government and most religions.
The city of Babel developed into the first true world power under the leadership of a king by the name of Nebuchadnezzar.
This king and his kingdom were the subject not only of much of Daniel's prophetic scripture, but also represents the start or genesis of a prophetic sequence of world powers, directly descended -- one after the other -- from this ancient Babylonian empire.
This progression of world powers leads to the last days -- still yet future -- just prior to the Savior's return to rule earth and all nations.
In Daniel 2:31-33 king Nebuchadnezzar's vision of the image was revealed through Daniel: "You, O king, looked and beheld an enormous image, whose brightness was dazzling, standing before you; and its form was terrifying.
"The image's head was composed of pure gold, its breast and arms were made of pure silver, its belly and thighs were of brass, his legs of iron, and its feet were made of a mixture of part iron and part clay."
The explanation of these symbols is revealed in verses 37-43: "You, O king, are a king of kings: because the Almighty One of heaven has given you a kingdom, power, strength and glory.... You are that head of gold.
"And after you shall arise another kingdom inferior to yours [the two arms represented the Medes and Persians, ruled by a common king represented by the breast or heart, who was Cyrus the Persian also known as Darius the Mede]. Next a third kingdom of brass, will rule over all the earth."
The entire earth, in those days, was limited to the European, Asian and African continents. The Greek kingdom under first Alexandar the Great and then under his four generals, ruled over the entire known earth of that age. Continuing:
"And the fourth kingdom will be strong like iron; just as iron breaks in pieces and smashes everything else [such as the other metals/nations preceding it]: and just as iron breaks all these, likewise it shall break in pieces and crush all the others."
That kingdom was the terrible Roman Empire -- divided and standing, as it did, upon two legs or capitals -- ruled from both the Eastern empire with its capital located at Constantinople, and from the Western empire with its capital situated at Rome!
"And just as you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter's [baked] clay and partly of iron, the kingdom will be divided; but there will remain in it the strength of iron, just as you saw the iron mixed with clay.
"And as the toes of the feet were part iron and part clay, this kingdom will be partly strong and partly brittle. And just as you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people will be a mixture and will not remain united, any more than iron mixes with clay."
Modern Babylon The Great
This last part of the image seen in Nebuchadnezzar's dream vision represents the same kingdom of ancient Rome, in modern guise, embodied or personified in a group of nations or states that are supposed to be united in purpose, that are really divided politically, ethnically, religiously and culturally.
It is a system of rule dominating the entire world, which is divided into ten regions (or toes), and separated into two hemispheres (the two feet), composed of five regions each (five toes on each foot).
Interesting enough, our modern world is divided into exactly ten economic regions, in two hemispheres, of five regions per each hemisphere.
The basic world dominated governmental system ruling over or influencing, generally controlling or attempting to dominate, all of these regions is none other than democracy!
Like the ancient Roman Empire from which these present world powers developed, the hemispheres are the eastern and western hemispheres. The eastern includes Europe and is headquartered in Great Britain, while the western is centered in the United States of America.
The five regions or areas of political influence in the eastern hemisphere are roughly divided into Russia and its satellite states in Asia minor, China and its satellite nations in Asia, Japan and its pacific satellite islands, western Europe and the U.K., including Israel, South Africa and Australia, and Africa, including Egypt.
The five regions or areas of political influence in the western hemisphere are divided roughly into Canada, including Greenland and Newfoundland, The United States and its satellite possessions, Mexico, Central America, including Cuba, and South America and its related possessions.
The borders of some of these regions, such as between Russia and its eastern European satellites, are in flux to some extent, but the regions basically represent the ten toes of the image from Nebuchadnezzar's dream vision.
As with ancient Rome (the legs of iron), which was dominated by the western capital in Italy (Rome, after which the entire Roman Empire was named), today the western capital of the two feet (the "great toe" of the western world), the United States, dominates the entire world with its political and military exports.
The eastern capital, or "great toe," being the United Kingdom, although a major influence in its part of the world, doesn't wield anywhere near the influence of its western world counterpart.
Although communist for most of the 20th century, if anything Russia and China have become more westernized, to all outward appearances (first when each nation absorbed communism direct from New York City, and now socialized democracy from the same source).
U.S. Related To Ancient Rome?
In many ways, such as the moral crisis facing the U.S. today, the waves of immigrants changing our form of government, an ongoing financial crisis, and a general social malaise brought about by lethargy and indolence, created by a glut of ready entertainments, and now by computer games and the Internet's many distractions (which did not exist when this article was first published), the United States has been aptly named "the modern Romans."
But how can the U.S. be said to be directly descended from the ancient world-ruling Roman Empire? The answer may amaze you.
First, America's style of government was based largely and patterned directly upon the ancient Roman and Greek models. The name, organization and operation of one of the major institutions of government -- the Senate -- was directly borrowed from the Roman Senate.
Second, the capital of Rome's westernmost outpost was Eoforwic, England, which developed into the name York (meaning: boar or pig), and finally Yorkshire.
This capital of Roman Britain is today the largest county in England, and the capital of North Yorkshire is the town of York.
Many nations attempted to colonize North America, beginning over 400 years ago. The Dutch founded a colony they called New Amsterdam, in what became New York state, which was under the Dutch government from 1609 to 1664.
However, immigrants from England soon overran the colonies, and this one in particular, under British government control, was then renamed New York (meaning: New Euforwic, or "new pig").
Today, though the nation's capital is presently and ostensibly Washington D.C., the original capital and true hub of international influence and financial or political control was and still is centered in New York City, in the state of New York.
This one city, more than any other, became the real melting pot of every race known to man, and is home to the major manipulators of world commerce and government today, through Wall Street (the stock, bond and commodities markets), Madison Avenue (advertising, stage, radio, television and film entertainment venues), and the United Nations (the prototype for a world government), the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission (representing the true ruling powers invisibly controlling America and, by extension, the world).
New York City is also an amazing carbon copy of the ancient city/nation state of Babylon -- based on maritime law through ancient Rome, and more anciently the law of merchants and contract law, which started with Babylon and was transposed to the Medo-Persian Empire, the Greek Empire of Alexander the Great and his four generals, the Roman Empire, of which England was its furthermost outpost, and finally transposed from the United Kingdom (or the City of London, to be more precise) to New York City, and from there to all of America, Canada, and the rest of the world.
This ancient system of Admiralty law (maritime law under martial law, during wartime or a period of national emergency, which nearly always exists to one degree or another) brought inland via adhesion contracts and the courts through an un-American debt-based fiat paper currency system, is still alive today!
Mystery Babylon the Great
A startling scriptural prophecy accurately describes the greatest of these metropolitan cities, the mother of all the rest, as it exists today:
"And the woman that you saw is that great city, which rules over the kings of the earth. ...the merchants of the earth have become rich through her excessive luxuries....
"The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, silk and scarlet cloth, and every sort of citron wood, and all sorts of articles made of ivory, and of very expensive wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble.
"And cinnamon, and perfumes, spices and ointments, and frankincense, wine, oil, and fine wheat flour, wild animals, sheep, horses, and traveling conveyances, and slaves and bodies of men (employees or prisoners).
"The merchants of these things, who were enriched by her, will stand far off. ...saying, 'Woe, woe, that great city, which was clothed in fine linen, purple and scarlet, and glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls!'...
"And every sea captain, and all who travel by ship, the sailors, and everyone who earns their living from the sea, will stand far off, and when they see the smoke of her burning, they will exclaim: 'Was there ever a city like this great city?'" (Revelation 17:18, 18:3, 12-13, 15-18).
This major port city of great wealth, commerce, and world-swaying political and economic influence, is further described as: "Mystery Babylon the Great, the mother of whores [other cities/nations in her exact political, military and economic image] and abominations [violent crimes against humanity; lawless in terms of the Creator's Ten Commandments] of the earth" (Revelation 17:5).
As with ancient Babel, this modern city stands for the state and nation of the United States and, by extension, for the entire world that is influenced, controlled by, or imitates it.
Parallel prophecies also foretold this very same city/state, that match the description in chapters 17 and 18 of Revelation, including "Jeremiah" 50 and 51, "Isaiah" 13 and 14, 21:1-10, and "Isaiah" 47 and 48.
A close, careful reading of all these prophecies will reveal to you not only their close similarities, and end-time setting, but also the incredibly accurate descriptions of New York City, made thousands of years before it ever came into existence, including its eventual destruction and the good reasons why this calamity must take place.
The Yasraelite Connection
Why is this modern Babylon described in the prophecy of Revelation as a mystery?
Simply because the English and related European peoples -- the Germans, Irish, Scottish, English, French and Scandinavians, among others -- are all direct descendants from the ancient twelve tribes of Yasrael, who are almost entirely unaware of their true ancestry.
The true origin of these peoples is certainly a mystery to them (there are other, more sinister, reasons which will also be explained below).
Due to a massive and ongoing propaganda campaign spanning several centuries, most people today have assumed that only the Jews represent all twelve of the ancient tribes of Yasrael. The truth, however, is that the vast majority of those who call themselves Jewish today don't even represent the one tribe whose name they have appropriated!
According to the Jewish historian Authur Koestler, of the two main divisions of modern Jews -- the Askhenazim (descended, in reality, from a mixed race of mostly oriental, but Caucasian-appearing middle-eastern Khazars, whose entire race converted to the Pharisaical religion of Judaism in the sixth to seventh centuries), and the Sephardim -- only a very small proportion of the latter are actually true racial descendants of the original Yasraelite tribe of Yavdah (combined with the Levites).
The estimated world population numbers of Sephardim, in the 1960s, was just 500,000, compared to 11 million Askenazim "Jews" throughout eastern Europe, Europe, the United States, "Israel," and even China, all combined, during the same time period (The Thirteenth Tribe, Koestler, 1978, Popular Library paperback, pp. 228-9).
In other words, only approximately 1 in 22, or less than 4.5 percent of those who are known today as "Jews" are in fact descendants of Abraham's grandson Ya'acob ("Jacob"), otherwise named Yasrael, the father of all twelve of the Yasraelite tribes, of whom Yavdah was but one of the twelve!
This exposes and utterly defeats the ridiculous idea, generally accepted as "true" today, that all twelve Yasraelite tribes, and that even the great-grandfather of the twelve patriarchs of these tribes, Abraham, were all "Jews" (although strangely this same claim is not made for any of Abraham's forebears, such as Noah, who was the forebear of all races on earth today through his three sons and their wives).
This same sort of reasoning could be used to "prove" that all Arab and similar descendants of Ysmail are also "Jews" today; a patently ridiculous notion.
All twelve Yasraelite tribes were prophesied to become great nations on earth in their own right (Genesis 17:5, 49:1-28; Deuteronomy 15:6, 26:19, 28:1; Romans 4:17-18; Revelation 7:4-8).
Disobedience to their Creator's covenants and Law was also prophesied to be the temporary downfall (still future) of all these nations (Deuteronomy 28:37, 65, 30:1-3; "Hosea" 8:10, 9:17; "Joel" 3:2' "Amos" 9:9; Luke 21:24).
You will notice that the common theme throughout these prophecies is that all the Yasraelites were to be sifted through all the nations on earth by means of captivity (as prisoners/slaves of war)!
Of the twelve original tribes, ten broke away and formed the separate, northern kingdom of Yasrael, with its capital at ancient Samaria.
The remaining two tribes, along with a small number of two of the northern tribes, formed the southern kingdom of ancient Yavdah, named after the predominate tribe from which kings David and Solomon were descended, with its capital at ancient Yaravsalem ("Jerusalem").
Who Are The Yasraelites Today?
The northern ten tribes were taken captive by the Assyrians approximately 134 years before the southern tribes were captured by the Babylonians, who first defeated the Assyrians.
At that time it was common practice for the conquering kingdoms to displace entire populations of captured countries, replacing their native populace with peoples more submissive to the conquering nation.
When the Babylonians defeated Assyria, most of the northern ten tribes, which had been settled in the northern-most provinces of the Assyrian empire, near Uratu or Ararat, in what is modern-day Turkey, a portion of which later became part of the kingdom of ancient Greece, or Asia Minor, escaped and migrated into what is today known as modern Europe (becoming known as Europeans and Scandinavians, among others).
Many of these "lost sheep," as they were later called by the prophets, including the Savior ("Matthew" 10:6, 15:24; "Jeremiah" 50:17), remained in Asia Minor, and became some of the first converts of the Apostles (Acts 2:5-11, 3:12, 25).
It was into their scattered synagogues among the gentile nations that the gentile converts were converted by first Peter and then Paul.
Into what are now the nations of Europe the Yasraelite peoples migrated, gradually conquering and displacing the few mongrel inhabitants of ancient Europe, who were mostly pushed eastward into what is now modern Russia, and westward into the Americas (the savages known as Picts, forebears of many of the "Indian" tribes of North America).
Even Yavdah finally became totally dispossessed by the Romans, the remnants of this tribe being found today in modern Germany and Scotland, and their present descendants in America.
Ephraim and Manasseh
Two of the twelve tribes of ancient Yasrael were given a special prophetic blessing. They were to become two of the greatest nations of recent history.
These two tribes were closely related brothers, and so their nations today were to be closely allied.
Only two modern nations perfectly match these prophetic descriptions, as given in Genesis chapter 48. In fact each of them were prophetically named according to what they are now called!
Modern translations, almost all of which are heavily influenced by the King James Version (KJV) of the bible, also known as the "Authorized Version," mistakenly mistranslate the key words describing the prophetic future of the tribe of Ephraim in particular.
This enigmatic prophecy reveals that Manasseh and Ephraim, the two sons of Yavceph ("Joseph") were to be blessed far above and beyond their other brethren:
"And when Yavceph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him; and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from [the younger] Ephraim's head onto [the elder] Manasseh's head.
"And Yavceph said to his father, 'Not so, my father; for this is the firstborn. Put your right hand upon his head.' And his father refused, and said, 'I know. He also will become a people, and he also will be great. But truthfully, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his offspring will become a United States'" (Genesis 48:17-19).
Yes, the words translated "a multitude of nations" in the KJV can more accurately be translated "a United States"!
So here, in the ancient prophecies of ages long past, is one of the most amazing and accurate long-range prophecies of them all.
Many would-be religious teachers over the ages have tried, inaccurately, to understand this prophecy, but have failed miserably.
They have usually confused the eldest brother Manasseh with his younger brother Ephraim, and vice versa.
And who is this older brother, who was also to become a "great" nation, yet was to be surpassed by his younger sibling nation?
None other than Great Britain!
Yes, this once great world empire -- so accurately prophesied by the very adjective that was to become a part of the very name by which it became popularly known -- was also accurately and specifically pinpointed by this astonishingly incredible prophecy.
The United States In Prophecy
Once you clearly understand the identity of the United States in scripture prophecy as Ephraim, you will learn that there is an entire book of prophecy dedicated to Ephraim, or modern America.
Because of the confusion between Manasseh and Ephraim -- the elder and the younger of these two tribes of Yasrael, respectively -- the prophecy of Yahvsave ("Hosea") has been wrongly applied to Great Britain mainly, by some alleged teachers of scripture prophecy.
However, this prophecy very clearly deals with the United States of America, today and into the near future, once you recognize the true identification of modern Ephraim.
Notice the clear description of prideful, arrogant, know-it-all (yet mostly ignorant) Americans in "Hosea" chapter 4, verse 4.
Our modern crime-soaked, blood-drenched cities and country is accurately described prophetically in verses 1-3 (you will see why in verses 5-8):
"...Yahveh has a charge to bring against you who live in the land: 'There is no faithfulness, no caring concern, no acknowledgment of the Almighty One in the land. There is only cursing, lying and murder, theft and adultery; they break all laws and bloodshed leads to still more bloodshed.
"'Because of this the land mourns, and all who live in it waste away; the beasts of the field and the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea are dying.
"'But let no man bring a charge, let no man accuse another, for your people are like those who bring charges against a priest.
"'You stumble day and night, and the prophets stumble with you. So I will destroy your mother -- my people are destroyed from lack of [accurate spiritual] knowledge. I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the Law of your Almighty One, I also will ignore your children.
"'The more the priests increased, the more they sinned against me; they exchanged their glory for something disgraceful. They feed on the sins of my people and relish their lawlessness.'"
Rich ministers, political leaders, the media, legislators, judges and lawyers are clearly indicted here for turning the hearts of their converts, followers, adherents, audiences or defendants away from the Commandments of Creator Yahveh.
The rampant adultery, embodied in divorce and "remarriage" so-called, and the whore-mongering of a majority of American men and women, and increasingly even children now, was outlined in verses 13-14 and 18:
""I will not punish your daughters when they turn to prostitution, nor your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery, because the men themselves consort with harlots amd sacrifice with temple [whorehouse] prostitutes -- a people without wisdom will come to ruin!...
"'Even when their drinks are gone, they continue their prostitution; their leaders dearly desire shameful ways.'"
The national pastime of idolatry is mentioned in verse 17: "Ephraim is devoted to idols; leave him alone.'"
A stern penalty is prophesied as a result of these and myriad other sins, in "Hosea" 5:9: "'Ephraim will be laid waste on the day of reckoning [the elsewhere prophesied fall of Mystery Babylon the Great]. Among the tribes of Yasrael I proclaim what is certain.'"
Now you will notice another amazingly precise prediction in "Hosea" 9:11-14, 16:
"'As for Ephraim, their glory will fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from conception. Though they bring up their children, yet I will bereave them, so that there will not be a man left. Yes, woe also to them when I leave them!
"'Ephraim, as I saw Tyre, is planted in a pleasant place: but Ephraim will bring forth his children to the murderer.' Give them, O Yahveh, what will you give them? 'Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.... Ephraim is blighted, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit. Yes, though they procreate, I will still slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.'"
Here, then, is a sobering prophecy about birth defects (such as the Thalidomide babies in the 1950s, and now many children suffering from autism) and birth control (verse 11), all the way up to the abomination of abortion (verse 13), of drugs and Aids-related deaths and miscarriages (verse 14), and of devastating wars and their related illnesses and debilities, natural disasters and other calamities, from earthquakes to airline disasters, terrorist bombs, and even radiation-caused debilities, deaths and birth defects, that have, continue to, and in the future will rob America of its cherished children (verse 12)!
And because of the unwillingness or inability to recognize the sins that have led to all these catastrophes and repent of them, such things will only continue to get worse, and not better (verse 16).
Even the Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty from the Camp David Peace Accords, or some future event similar to it, could very well be the intended subject of "Hosea" 12:1: "'Ephraim feeds on the wind; he pursues the east wind all day and multiplies lies and violence. He makes a treaty with Assyria and sends oil to Egypt.'"
Modern-day Assyria is none other than Russia.
A future judgment of horrible devastation is prophesied in "Hosea" 13:15-16: "'I will have no compassion, even though he thrives among his brothers [other modern Yasraelite nations]. An east wind from Yahveh will come, blowing in from the desert; his spring will fail and his well will dry up. His storehouse [Fort Knox?] will be plundered of all its treasures.
"'The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their Almighty One. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open.'" (This could very well be referring to abortions and C-section deliveries!)
Finally, the ultimate repentance of the remnant, or remaining few still alive following these devastating events, and subsequent blessings for those who survive the coming calamity, is also prophesied in all of "Hosea" chapter 14.
Mother of Harlots
The Great Whore of Mystery Babylon is a significant prophetic clue that the Yasraelites are indeed the modern Babylonians..
There is only one people who are described by the same analogy of a woman who was married to her Creator through the vow of Abraham, and later of the children of Yasrael under Moses after they left Egypt (see: Ezekiel 16:1-4, 8-14).
Only the nations of Yasrael are referred to as a whore or harlot who has left her true husband, due to their sinful rebellions against their Creator/husband, seeking the carnal "pleasures" (entrapments) of the pagan nations (cf. Ezekiel 16:15-19, 25-26, 28-30, 32-38, 43-51, and 58-63).
A Prophetic Warning!
As you read and study these various prophecies, you will probably be alarmed at the prophesied dire judgments yet to come upon these modern nations of Yasrael, such as Great Britain and particularly the United States of America.
The prophetic revelation is indeed grim. But forewarned is also forearmed.
According to the best understanding that can be derived from an accurate knowledge of prophetic chronology, this judgment will occur sometime within the next thirty years. Perhaps there is now less than ten years before this unfolding tragedy fully transpires.
This prophesied "time of Ya'acob's trouble" ("Jeremiah" 30:7; "...but he will be saved out of it"), however, is necessary to perfect the repentance required for real salvation for all those who will attain the glorious first resurrection -- as well as for the physical salvation of all the remaining descendants of the children of Yasrael, and through them of all the other nations on earth today.
