What Sort Of Thinker Are You?

A Video Message From the Publisher:

This is Hank Scott, for The Pure Truth Restored...

There are two ways of thought at work in our world.

The most common is vain thinking, while the rarest by far (to date) is humble thinking.

The first leads to doing whatever seems "right" in your own eyes, without regard for others or the reality of the consequences, unintended perhaps, but real nonetheless.

This results in a lot of "I didn't mean to" apologies, tragedies, and conflicts, ending in regrets, stress, illness, and death.

The second -- which really should be first but for the perverse nature that is at the heart of all sinful conduct, the impulse to stubbornly refuse to change (repent) for the better -- focuses solely on what is truly important, which is whatever the Sovereign Creator (yes, He really exists, puny scientist, agnostic, atheist; and no, He isn't exactly what all the errant Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists Taoists, etc. conceive and believe) long ago established as the way of life.

This is the way that does not need to fear, lives without stress even in the face of troubling circumstances, hopes and is patient in the absence or delay of promised blessings, is compassionate even to those who are testy, difficult or troublesome, helpful and ready to assist those who are in trouble and truly in need, and believes in things unseen despite seemingly contrary "evidence," mostly manufactured to cast doubt, suspicion or accusation where none is warranted.

The usual way is to suspect, accuse, doubt, fear and act on these cancerous thoughts in ways that lead to suffering, violence and death.

Even the animals fear, and die as a result eventually, so if you truly care for a pet you'll pay heed and bless it with a longer life, by changing your own way of thinking, even toward those other people in or passing through your life who are not so inclined to live peaceably.

Sometimes this might mean you must give them the "right of way" by stepping out of their way, leaving the scene, or even moving elsewhere if need be, no matter who is truly wrong and creating stress and trouble for others.

Fleeing and touching nothing that causes impurity (whatever is filthy, abominable, unclean, impure, or sacrilegious) -- including thoughts and ways that lead you into any of these sickening, debilitating, injurious, or fatal ways -- are the two requirements for those who truly want to seek a better and more prolonged way of life and blessings!

The world's way of thinking is to extoll the individual as the center of attention (birthdays, X-mass gifts, Valentines, Easter, and similar utterly pagan and selfish pursuits), while the Creator's way is concerned with what is more important and most urgently needful.

This often means taking care of the daily needs of even the poor and needy, having compassion on the afflicted and suffering, coming to the assistance and rescuing those who are truly being persecuted, abused, or attacked, even by those posing in positions of authority, as if this automatically makes all their actions "right," in judging some as unworthy of such service, protection, or defense.

Force is not the way of peace, as those who assume such words in relation to their activities (the police, the military, the judiciary, etc.) often claim in justifying their intentions and actions, that far too often lead to retaliation, escalation and reprisals.

Peace belongs solely to those who live peaceful lives, helping create this blessing for their neighbors also, wherever, whenever and however possible, whether they are relatives or strangers, native-born or aliens.

It is not found in all the partying, alleged humor, horror or adventure-seeking through stressful thrills, chills, or dangerous, potentially fatal activities, vicarious or real.

The neurons and cells of your body do not know the difference between fantasy and reality, they only know fight, flight or peace and calm.

The former leads to unhappiness, misery, suffering and eventually death, while the latter prolongs life and happiness, which leads to boundless joy.

Which way your choose, death or life, is what you will gain from the experience in the final analysis, when all else is said and done.

And this, of course, all depends on what sort of a thinker you are.
