"What's in a name?" a poet once asked, with the answer that implied it doesn't really matter what name we call somebody.
We live in a system of government that seems to think otherwise.
It demands you have a first and a last name, and that in your dealings with it you must give your last name first, and your first name last.
Roots of Naming Conventions
This government claims to have its roots in scriptural law, but this is a mere pretense.
The so-called civil law has nothing whatever to do with scriptural law, as I will now adequately reveal.
Where do you find any reference in any scripture, either so-called "Old Testament" or "New," in which anyone is referred to by two names, a first name and a last name?
Instead, every single man or woman of any importance is referred to by a single name, unless or until that name is changed.
In such a case, after the change they are no longer called by their former name, and are known solely by their new name.
So you find precedent for old names and new names, but never any example of anyone having both a "first" and a "last" name, or a "given" name and a "surname," to put it in modern legal terminology, at the same time.
So-called "surnames" as used by local, state and federal governments, particularly in all courts, did not exist as such, because a man's lineage was often traced to different antecedents, such as a father, or grandfather, or even a more ancient forebear, but this was always the single name by which each of these was known, such as the "house" or family of David, or of Noah, or whatever other historical, scriptural man you care to name.
You Don't Know Your Last Name Yet
In scripture the only "last" name is one none of us knows, or can know, at present. It is the NEW name the elect will receive, following the first resurrection, a name known only to the heavenly Father, the Savior (implied) and by the one receiving it (but only after having it given to him, which is also implied), in Revelation 2, and verse 17, and echoed in Revelation 3:12, 14:1, and 19:12.
Everyone is said to have a name, singular, written in the Book of Life, which can be erased or blotted out of that Book if they are found unworthy of a continued existence in the Creator's world, as noted in Revelation 3:5 and 20:15.
Even the Creator's name of salvation is said to be one singular, sole name by which we must be saved, and that there is no other name known to man by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
That name is not two names, as presently assumed by false religious believers (believers in false religions that do not teach this pure truth), but just a single name that is unknown to the vast majority of all falsely professing believers today!
It is a vital truth of salvation that must be restored because it has long been neglected, discarded, abandoned and in disuse for many centuries, ignored and forgotten by the imposition of a false system of law that imposes more than one name, that is called "your name" in the singular, though it is actually plural or even three, four or sometimes rarely even more names.
None of which is necessarily your true name!
For anyone to claim they have and know their "last" name, is an impossibility at present. For none of us knows if we will even qualify to have this new name, much less what it is, which in any case will not be known by anyone else other than the one receiving it!
What Is A True Name?
Allow me to give you an example of a true name today.
I have the name Hank. Yet this name is not found on any "official" government record.
It is not on any birth certificate, in any social security database, on any driver's license, voter registration, or picture I.D. whatsoever.
Yet is has been my name since birth, as it was my father's name before me (a name not found on any "official" record relating to my father either).
It is a name by which I was known to all my relatives, especially those on my father's side of the family. When they referred to me, or called me by name, it was the name Hank I heard, and none other.
This was a gift from my Creator, and not from the supposed "will" of any government, and would never be accepted in any court of law, yet it is my sole name, written on the articles of my inheritance in my own mother's handwriting, nearly as old as myself and now faded almost beyond recognition.
It is the name written on the back of all the photos of me as a child, in my mother's handwriting. Never any hint of any name found on the "official" government-issued birth certificate.
Don't misunderstand me, there does exist such a record, but none of the names found on that document are the name by which I was called and known in my family, as strange or unusual as that may seem or sound.
Bucking The Social "Norm"
After I became a grown adult, I abandoned those "official" names altogether, choosing to be known by different names over the years, none of which were considered my "legal name," except by custom and use (including the name in which my wife and I were married), but always gravitating back to the name by which I was first known, and have my earliest recollections.
Too many judgmental people have thought ill of this, and considered it to be some supposedly "criminal" act even, despite the fact that I have never hidden these facts, or used this as any sort of pretext for anything even remotely criminal in nature.
Rather, true criminals, those in the guise of government agents, judges, prosecuting attorneys, and their ilk, have persecuted and injured me over and over, again and again over the years, as a result of my refusing to bow the knee to their supposed "authority" over me in such matters.
The false religious tyrants of our present age feel that they alone have the right to determine your so-called "legal name" -- an all capital lettered abomination that is not your actual name -- and to punish anyone who fails to obey their autocratic demands in this regard.
Eschewing I.D.
Just try telling one of their "officers" of the flaw (false or faux law) that you have no identification when they demand it of you, and see how you fare, even if you don't have anything of the kind.
Yes, there are those of us who do not use any form of official government-issued I.D., even though this means you can no longer obtain a bank account, hold most jobs, or otherwise live in this world and survive its controlling, demanding, dictatorial edicts of its government agents!
It is by just such a system of false, faux law, or flaw, that most people are held in thrall today, unbeknownst to them.
In fact, most today don't even know or understand the meaning of the words thrall or thralldom.
It is defined as: "a slave (of a person, power, or influence)," and also: "bondage; a state of slavery or servitude (in thrall)" (Reader's Digest Oxford Complete Wordfinder Dictionary and Thesaurus).
This is precisely what everyone is who believes they must obtain a social security card to work, and file income tax returns yearly, even though they have no true idea or notion of just exactly what is and isn't taxable income, a taxpayer, or an actual non-taxpayer.
A Debtor's Prison
Taxpayer, in America, is just another word for thralldom, a government-system slave whose only response to the ever escalating appetite and demands of the government is: "How much, and by when?" -- with much fear and trepidation.
Otherwise, most "free" men and women of America realize, they might end up imprisoned, as a supposed "felon," for refusing to be so enthralled by their "own" government.
A government that has taken honest money (redeemable in gold or silver coin, or specie) out of circulation (with which all debts could actually be paid), replacing it with worthless Federal Reserve Notes that lose value through inflation -- which only promise to be "legal tender for all debts public or private," to create debt, or pass it along to others through invisible adhesion contract, when accepted as a discharge rather than an actual payment for debts (discharging a debt means it is still active, and adheres to the next sucker in line who accepts these otherwise worthless notes as supposed payment) -- debts which can never be repaid with the same encumbered debt notes.
All this adds up to government-issued NAMES, and the I.D.s based upon them, being symbols of a "debtor's prison" that has no visible walls, bars, razor wire, but is just as effective in keeping you imprisoned or enslaved by the system.
You are consigned to this very real prison by state-issued birth certificates, social security numbers, state I.D.s and driver's licenses.
You are kept far from the light of true freedom by courts, judges and lawyers who are complicit in deceiving you, or just as ignorant as yourself about true liberty, which they dread and fear above all else; just as they avoid the pure truth with cunning false words that mislead and deceive, through their practiced daily deceptions!
So next time you hear the quote "What's in a name?" perhaps you'll think twice before assuming nothing much.
Instead, pay close attention to all the emphasis being put on this modern mania by governments around the world, and you'll catch a real glimpse of the beast power at work deceiving all nations and peoples on earth.
